 Maple and Mexi Spiced Roasted Nuts

These roasted nuts make an easy, winter party snack AND being full of mono-unsaturated fats, vitamin E, magnesium, protein, iron, and fibre - they're good for you! Easy to put together on the fly, not too spicy, and not too sweet, this recipe is one to keep on hand for a quick and easy addition to your party spread.



Pre heat oven to 350 F


1 cup unsalted almonds

1 cup unsalted pecan halves

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

Zest from 1/2 a Navel orange

1/2 teaspoon Chili powder

1 teaspoon Cinnamon

2 pinches of salt

1-2 pinches of cayenne pepper (depends how much heat you wanna bring)



1) In a medium bowl, add all the ingredients and mix very well

2) Pour and spread out onto a lined cookie sheet. Bake at 350F for ~15 minutes

3) Let cool and serve
